  In order to boost up school spirit, Tech Crew decided that it best would be if created a video for Macy's Lip Dub Challenge. This challenge requires students to sing to "Be True To Your School'. A song originally by the Beach Boys but then remade by Tim Meyers. As we sing, we were required to show the school's multple extracurilcular activities as well as it's achievements. Since we had to record this in one take, we took multiple takes until finally one turned out successful. Our 'twist' in recording this year's LipDub video was to record it in a 'selfie-based' manner where one student would hold the camera facing her pretending she is taking pictures of herself. It all turned out to great because everyone did their job.

     Before we shot the footage, members from Tech Crew were assigned to different rooms all representing different aspects of the school. I helped the girls with the Multicultural room is expressed diversity in our school. From China's flag to Pakistan's flag, we had it all. I had also decided to place globes on each table to represent diversity as well. TYWLS of Astoria is known for the mix of races which I believe makes it one of the successful schools in the community. 

    Taking part in creating this video developed school pride in myself. I am grateful I attend a school like The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria where I can grow as a young women around caring peers and can expand my knowledge on technology.
